Paint Booth Sprayer

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, and priming as needed.
  • Mask off areas that should not be painted to ensure precise application.
  • Select appropriate paints, coatings, or finishes based on job requirements.
  • Apply paint or coatings evenly and consistently using various tools (brushes, rollers, spray guns).
  • Ensure proper coverage and finish quality, making any necessary adjustments.
  • Operate and maintain spray painting equipment, including spray guns and booths.
  • Apply paint evenly and consistently to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Adjust spray equipment settings for different materials and applications.
  • Inspect finished doors for flaws, such as drips, streaks, or uneven coating.
  • Make touch-ups or corrections as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Verify that colours and finishes match specifications.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Keep work area clean and organised.
  • Complete production reports and documentation accurately

Job Types: Contract, Full-time, Permanent – Mon – Fri

Salary: Competitive rates of pay negotiable on experience

Experience:

  • Carpentry: 3 years (preferred)
  • Paint Sprayer required to spray high quality wood windows, doors, and other wooden items to a high standard with a water-based paint system. Previous experience with air assisted airless gun would be advantageous but all training will be given as part of the job. A knowledge of wood products would also be helpful but not essential.
  • Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work on their own or as part of a team.
  • Work remotely
  • Spray shop experience with traditional joinery (preferred)
